I had fun making this card! I played around with a couple new oxide inks that I bought recently. I am terrible with blending, but these inks worked out pretty well.

I stamped and colored my Leaf Sledder image with copics and then added the oxide ink blended sky. I covered my little sledders with some sticky notes and then sprinkled the sky with a little water for that fun reactive effect you get with the oxide inks. I added a little glitter for the snow and also a Paper Smooches sentiment from the set Christmas Sampler. I think the twine is from Doodle Bug-very nice quality.  The card base was cut with my Silhouette from the file Snowflake Thank You Card

Our NEW challenge of
***ANYTHING GOES***
Please use any House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image

or use the theme below:

 PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS

can you see the tear strip?

I watched this video the other day and just had to give the tutorial a go! I made this little chapstick holder with my Silhouette and it actually only took a few  minutes!!!

I am using this stamp:

Santa Mouse

I also used this tag file from the Silhouette store and resized it to use for my project. I used the tear strip border files for the Silhouette store so I could open the package easily from the back. You can see how it looks on my Silhouette mat below. The paper is Pebbles Merry Merry and the sentiment is from Tim Holtz Crazy Talk.

Sympathy Card with Pop Up Frames-My Scrap Chick

When you make a sympathy card...you want it to be special and to show the love and support you wish to show to the family.  We recently lost a a family friend-someone who ran the neighborhood with us as children.  I made this for his family.

This is my version of the PopUp Frame from My Scrap Chick.

  What I did:
Cut the scrolls from the top of the frame file and made my base by tracing the  bottom scroll piece and removing the inside square line so this piece became the solid piece for the card base (cut two). I used three 12x12 pieces of white Bazzil cardstock and this cut enough for 2 cards with a little left over. I used the squares cut out from the top scroll pieces to stamp my images on.

Tip:
I know 'scrolly' pieces can be somewhat difficult to cut if your mats are not sticky so I used a new blade and a newer mat (I use Cricut light stick mats in my Silhouette).  By taking these steps my card pieces cut absolutely perfect!

Finishing Touches:
I added dimension tape pieces between the layers for the same feel you can get from the frame.  I used a lovely sympathy set from Verve Stamps named Forever In Our Hearts and did a little off stamping for the leaf. I did not want the color to overwhelm the card.

I think this is just a beauty...I might have to try some more Pop Up frames for cards...stay tuned!

Spooky Cup Cards-My Scrap Chick

from My Scrap Chick

These goodie holders are so much fun. I am sorry I forgot to take a picture when you pull out the insert inside the cup...there is a folded pocket connected to the words that could hold candy, a pack of cocoa or cider...something good for sure! You can see what the insert looks like by following the link above to the My Scrap Chick store.

Batty 4 You-My Scrap Chick

from

My Scrap Chick

I made several of these cuties for the special little ones in my life!...I finished them off in different styles just to see what I liked most.  I doodled on #1 with a Uni-ball Signo white pen. #2 I inked the edges with SU! White craft ink and #3 I left plain.  When the card is folded to slip in the envelope it is 3.25 x 3.75.  In real life I do like the inked one as my favorite, the other two are a close second though!!

I have another cute My Scrap Chick Halloween project coming you way in the next day or so-stay tuned!

House Mouse and Friend Monday Challenge #251-Halloween

Hosted by my teamie Lorraine A aka Lols

 Halloween

You also have the alternate option of entering the challenge with an "ANYTHING GOES" project too!  Just be sure to use House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies stamps, CD collection images and, or, any decoupage by House-Mouse Designs(R)  on your projects!

You know how I love interactive creations...and my meecies love them too.  For my card today I used my all time favorite stamp:

Pumpkin Mouse

I use this stamp every year at least once-so it is my most used stamp ever.

The card base is a cut file from the Silhouette Store -(I did enlarge the file so that  it used the complete 12x12 paper)

Shadow Box Card Scene-Halloween Ghost
and
Layered Halloween Tag Kit-Spooky Tree

I chose not to use the print and cut elements included with the shadow box file, but instead made my own Spooky scene with the tag kit elements. The sentiment is from a retired Pink and Main set. If you look closely, in the background you may spot Monica Mouse goofing off on the next hill!

These shadow boxes are difficult photograph...my apologies!
